Gravity - it always seems to jump up and bite me

After spending half the morning driving all over chorley, burnley & rawtenstall to get my parts and spending all afternoon setting it up - i cant get the bloody thing to start  Sad - the glow plug gauge isnt moving so am on the thoughts that the plug is goosed, will have to pull it out and have a butchers!

I assume you mean your OS50 on your Xtreme 50 Ian? And when you say glow plug gauge - do you mean the LED on the Align 2 in 1? And what parts have you had to get?

Just realised that the glow plug gauge is the one on your remote glow starter!!! Doh!!!

lol yes thats the one, needed to get a stainless screw set and swash leveler - got the head and everything set bob on now.

just pulled out the glow plug from the engine and plugged it into the starter and it doesnt get hot so presume its knackered

You should be able to see the element in the glow plug glowing bright yellow if its OK. You don't need to feel if it gets hot as you'll easily be able to see it. Have you got a spare one?

It's definatley goosed and I dont have a spare  Sad - dont suppose anyone going to the field tomorrow has a spare i could purchase do they???

I am going to Low at noonish for the afternoon and have plenty spare pugs.  Was going to go today but ended up having to work.
